Approval workflow

A step where a post waits for someone (a manager or a client) to approve it before it can be published.

An approval workflow puts a check between writing a post and publishing it. The writer submits the post; a manager, a legal reviewer or a client approves it, or sends it back with a comment. Only approved posts are published, which protects the brand from typos, wrong prices and posts that go out too early.

The best workflows are light: one clear approver per brand, comments on the post itself, and a way for clients to approve without learning a new tool. Heavy chains of approvers slow posting down and push teams to skip the tool altogether.
