Scheduling means a post is ready before it is due: written, checked and given a time. At that time, a scheduling tool publishes it through each network’s official API, the same way the network’s own app would. It frees the team from posting by hand at awkward hours and keeps the brand regular when people are busy or away.
Each network has its own rules: caption length, number of photos, video length, picture shapes. A good scheduler checks those rules when you schedule, not when the post fails at publishing time, and tells you clearly when a network refuses a post and why.
